چکیده

Brownian motions in the innnite-dimensional group of all unitary operators are studied under strong continuity assumption rather than norm continuity. Every such motion can be described in terms of a countable collection of independent one-dimensional Brownian motions. The proof involves continuous tensor products and continuous quantum measurements. A by-product: a Brownian motion in a separable F-space (not locally convex) is a Gaussian process.

Central Limit Theorems for the Brownian motion on large unitary groups

In this paper, we are concerned with the largeN limit of linear combinations of entries of Brownian motions on the group of N ×N unitary matrices. We prove that the process of such a linear combination converges to a Gaussian one. Various scales of time are concerned, giving rise to various limit processes, in relation to the geometric construction of the unitary Brownian motion. As an applicat...

Noncolliding Brownian motions and Harish-Chandra formula

We consider a system of noncolliding Brownian motions introduced in our previous paper, in which the noncolliding condition is imposed in a finite time interval (0, T ]. This is a temporally inhomogeneous diffusion process whose transition probability density depends on a value of T , and in the limit T → ∞ it converges to a temporally homogeneous diffusion process called Dyson’s model of Brown...

The Large-N Limits of Brownian Motions on GLN

We introduce a two-parameter family of diffusion processes (B r,s(t))t≥0, r, s > 0, on the general linear group GLN that are Brownian motions with respect to certain natural metrics on the group. At the same time, we introduce a two-parameter family of free Itô processes (br,s(t))t≥0 in a faithful, tracial W ∗-probability space, and we prove that the full process (B r,s(t))t≥0 converges to (br,...

Dyson’s Brownian motions, intertwining and interlacing

A family of reflected Brownian motions is used to construct Dyson’s process of non-colliding Brownian motions. A number of explicit formulae are given, including one for the distribution of a family of coalescing Brownian motions.

Dynamical Correlations for Circular Ensembles of Random Matrices

Circular Brownian motion models of random matrices were introduced by Dyson and describe the parametric eigenparameter correlations of unitary random matrices. For symmetric unitary, self-dual quaternion unitary and an analogue of antisymmetric hermitian matrix initial conditions, Brownian dynamics toward the unitary symmetry is analyzed. The dynamical correlation functions of arbitrary number ...
